There’s nothing better than sitting by a lake as dusk rides in on a summer evening watching the bats flitting about as they hunt for their days food. Mindlessly throwing some food for the geese and ducks and other such birds that call the lake their home.
Feeling the cool breeze as the temperature finally drops from the hell heat of the day.
I find it a good way to clear the mind and settle down for the evening, its just such a shame there is nowhere around where i live like that. When I visit somewhere that does present this opportunity i always make the most of it an saviour it. Trips to Centre Parcs in Sherwood Forrest around May time are perfect for this.
